Taweesak is one of Thailand's longest standing energy professionals having started his career at the inception of the industry in 2009. Know also as Jib for short, he studied Physics in Silpakorn university from 2002 until 2009 achieving both a MSc and BSc. The former focused on microscale wind potential in the Kingdom of Cambodia, one of the first wind into the countries potential.
Jib ran the wind analysis department at Wind Energy Holding, Thailand's largest wind energy developer and was responsible for all the wind analysis activities on a portfolio of 750MW. As the energy analysis group manager he has a key member of the team that built Thailand's first wind farm, a 207MW plant in the North East. Thereafter he went on to successfully contribute to the completion of two other wind farms with a total of 120MW. The company continued its success to secure PPA's and finance a further 450MW of wind energy projects which are due for completion in 2020.
Jib's vast experience and greenfield identification and environmental modelling makes him the technical guru of the group. He has continued to provide these valuable technical services at Alpha and has also taken on responsibility for the management of the domestic portfolio.
Craft beer is his other main interest. Bangkok has a popular and growing craft beer industry and Jib can offer advice on which ones to visit during your Bangkok trip.
