Thailand renewable energy market set to grow in 2017

The Department for Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency ("DEDE") announced in August 2017 that is has submitted a plan to the cabinet to double the 2036 renewable energy target in Thailand. The government is set to consider the proposal in 2017. DEDE have put forward a doubling of the wind quota, from 3,000 MW to 6,000 MW and similarly a doubling of the existing solar target from 6,000 MW to 12,000 MW.
